Rolling Waves Scarf Weaving Pattern by Ange Sewell

Living on the coast your learn to respect the waves as they roll in.

I can see the waves from the window of my Weave House and I also like jumping in them with my friends when we go swimming.

This pattern is inspired by these waves.

This product is for a print copy, digital download of the pattern and the West Yorkshire Spinners Fleece 100% BlueFaced Leicester Yarn needed to complete the pattern.

To weave this pattern you will need a Rigid Heddle Loom at least 15" in width that has a 7.5dpi or 8dpi reed.


 

 

Warp Yarn:
Eden Cottage Yarns Milburn 4 Ply in:
1 x 50g Catmint
1 x 50g Althaea
1 x 50g Crocosmia
1 x 50g Charcoal

Weft Yarn:
If doing stripes use what’s left of warp yarn.
If doing single colour for weft then you will need 1 x ball of the chosen warp colour

Loom: Rigid Heddle Loom 10" or wider

Reed:12 dpi or 12.5 dpi Rigid Heddle Reed

Weaving width in Reed: 25cm/10"

Finished Size: 22cm/9" wide by 2m/6'7" long excluding fringes
