Delivery and Shipping Rates
Our Delivery Service
We aim to have items dispatched as soon as possible. It can take us 3 to 5 working days to process your order ready for shipping. Our regular posting days are Mondays to Fridays. We currently cannot offer next day postal service.
Due to impacts of the coronavirus pandemic we unfortunately cannot rule out unexpected delays in the postal system and it may take the full 5 days for us to process and post orders. We are working with limited staff and under coronavirus restrictions. We do really appreciate your custom and are grateful for patience and understanding in the time taken to process and dispatch orders at the moment. Please be assured that we are working hard to get your order to you as quickly as we can.
When we ship your order we will send you a confirmation email.
If any of your items are out of stock this will be shown at checkout. As soon as we can we will notify you with an estimated time of when we expect it to be back in stock. Occasionally, we may arrange for your order to be shipped direct to you from our suppliers. When this is the case we will notify you and advise of the expected dispatch date.
Due to the current coronavirus restrictions in place we are unable to offer a click and collect service at this time.
For UK orders the following delivery charges apply:
Orders under £50 in value - £4.50
Orders £50 to £200 in value - £5.90
Orders over £200 - Free
Magazines - £1.95 for a single copy then rates above for larger orders
Free Delivery to residents in KA23 postcodes (West Kilbride).
We use 1st Class Royal Mail for smaller items and either Parcel Force 48 or DHL Express for larger items.
We cannot offer a next-day delivery service or guarantee.
Channel Islands - small packages sent using Royal Mail, larger items by courier. Weight-based shipping rates shown at checkout.
From 1st January 2021 the UK BREXIT transition period ended and we are no longer trading within the EU single market and customs zone.
We are now shipping orders to European customers again but have had to make some changes to our service.
Firstly, international orders have UK VAT (20%) where applicable deducted from the amount payable at checkout. All items on our website except books and magazines are charged VAT in the UK.
All international orders are now shipped with DHL and we no longer will send small parcels using Royal Mail. This is to make sure we can maintain quality of service (tracking, speed and reliability) but it does mean that the minimum shipping rates have increased. Part of this is because we are having to pay additional administration and insurance costs for parcels.
Our international shipping costs will be displayed when you enter the delivery country at checkout before payment is taken, but please be aware that as we are no longer trading within the EU customs zone then you will be invoiced for additional import VAT, import duty and handling fees by DHL before your order is delivered to you. It is the customers responsibility to pay these charges to DHL which will vary depending on your country. In the event of non-payment of tax and duty, packages will be returned to us.
We hope that you will understand the situation that we are being placed in. We do really value our fantastic customers throughout the rest of Europe and hope that we can continue to help you with all your weaving and spinning needs for many years to come!
Please note that at the moment we are unable to accept orders from customers outside of the EU and Western Europe. We hope to expand the number of countries we can deliver to over the course of 2021.
Floor Loom Shipping - FREE Delivery to UK
We can deliver floor looms to any address in the UK. All floor looms ordered through Weft Blown are shipped free of charge to addresses in mainland UK.
Please note however that island locations may attract a shipping surcharge. If you are in an island location then please contact us for a quote for floor loom shipping rates to your address.
Schacht and Ashford floor looms will generally by sent using DHL or Parcelforce. You will receive a tracking number in the shipping confirmation email we send you once your loom is on its way.
Louët floor looms are delivered either on a pallet by DHL or will be delivered in person by ourselves, depending on the delivery location. Where delivery of a Louët floor loom is on a pallet by truck this is to kerbside only as drivers are not insured to carry boxes in to premises. Unfortunately, we are unable to deliver Louët floor looms to customers outside of the UK.
For all floor loom deliveries please ensure that you have additional help available to move boxes indoors and to where you plan to build the loom. Some of the boxes will be very heavy (40kg to 70kg in some cases, depending on the loom).
