Delivery and Shipping Rates

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update

As of 24 April 2020 we are now shipping orders to UK and Ireland (and from 18th May to the rest of Europe)

We are able to process and post your orders maintaining social distancing and following government workplace advice but please be aware that due to current circumstances orders may take longer than normal to ship (up to a week for items in stock) and there may be delays in the postal system as well. Please allow 1 to 2 weeks for delivery once you have received email confirmation that your orders has been posted. If your order contains back-ordered items as shown in the cart/at checkout then this will take longer before items are available to send (typically 2 to 3 weeks, longer still for Schacht items).

You can find more information on the current situation with Royal Mail postal deliveries here. We send larger items by DHL or Parcelforce and both companies are working hard to maintain delivery operations through this period while keeping their staff and customers safe.

Our standard delivery service (please note we are unable to guarantee this level of service due to Coronavirus impacts)

We aim to have items dispatched within 2 to 4 working days of receipt of payment and our regular posting days are Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.  Orders should normally be delivered within 2 working days after the shipping date.

If you require expedited or next day delivery then please get in touch with us.

If any of your items are out of stock this will be shown at Checkout. We will notify you with an estimated time of when we expect it to be back in stock. Occasionally, we may arrange for your order to be shipped direct to you from our suppliers. When this is the case we will notify you and advise of the expected dispatch date.

If you wish to collect your item in person from our shop in West Kilbride then please contact us before purchase and we can arrange a collection day and time and accept payment without shipping charges.

We can deliver floor looms to any address in the UK and EU countries.  All floor looms ordered through Weft Blown are shipped free of charge to addresses in mainland UK.

Please contact us for shipping charges for floor looms to other European addresses.

Please note however that island locations may attract a shipping surcharge.  If you are in an island location then please contact us for a quote for floor loom shipping rates to your address.

Schacht floor looms will be forwarded on to you from ourselves - this allows us to handle all the import duty and VAT when importing goods from outside the EU. They will be sent by DHL.

Ashford floor looms will generally by sent by our distributor in the UK who will give you tracking details for the order. They will be sent by Parcelforce

Louët floor looms are delivered either by a specialist logistics company on a pallet or will be delivered in person by ourselves, depending on the delivery location. Where delivery of a Louët floor loom is on a pallet by truck this is to kerbside only as drivers are not insured to carry boxes in to premises.

For all floor loom deliveries please ensure that you have additional help available to move boxes indoors and to where you plan to build the loom. Some of the boxes will be very heavy (40kg to 70kg in some cases, depending on the loom).
