Showers Cowl - Cumulonimbus

Handwoven by Weft Blown based on the photographic images I collect on my walks, this cowl conveys the colour of the clouds, sky, sea, and beach as the showers drift in.

Walking along the beach most mornings with my weaving assistant dogs, you do notice the constant change in the weather.

There can be no faster change than rapidly forming showers blowing in from the Atlantic, over Arran and into the Ayrshire coast.

This cowl is based on the Cumulus clouds that quickly grow into cumulonimbus clouds, spreading rain, hail, sleet, and even snow over the winter months.

The yarn used is 100% British Blue-Faced Leicester wool hand-dyed by Old Maiden Aunt yarns. This has resulted in a luxuriously smooth cowl that is sumptuous to wear.

Handwoven in West Kilbride, Craft Town Scotland.

Dimensions: 20cm/8" wide by 154cm/60" circumference (not including the fringe).

Care: hand wash only in cool water and iron gently whilst damp.
