Festive Pop Ups at Weft Blown
This December we are having Festive Pop Up shops in our showroom.
"Come and discover some Nordic gift ideas with Midwinter Yarns. We will bring a selection of our Scandinavian yarns, lots of kits for quick-knit gifts, as well as our handmade project bags in Scottish Linen and original vintage fabrics.”
Woollenflower is a small natural dye studio, based in Glasgow and run by horticulturist and dyer Julia Billings. With a focus on yarn and threads for handcraft, Julia hopes to expand the commonly-held view that natural dyes give mostly soft yellows and browns and to create a range of colours that inspire people to see them differently. Woollenflower yarns are made from high-quality, natural fibres, such as minimally-processed local wools, alpaca, linen and mohair, making textiles that are beautiful, tactile and durable. Also produced in the studio are periodic collections of wool pouches from worn-out Harris Tweed garments, upholsterer’s waste and vintage fabrics, and knit accessories, made using a hand-operated vintage knitting machine.
“Based in West Kilbride Lorna Reid has been designing, making and teaching textiles for nearly 30 years!
Every tiny piece of hand cut felt and every careful stitch makes Lorna’s beautiful work unique and collectible.Lorna will be bringing her best selling Christmas ornament collection along with a range of her popular badges and a fresh selection of hand stitched artworks.”
In our Weft Blown shop we will also have some special offers running. You will also be able to check out our wheels and looms too and we will be more than happy to help you with your crafting needs.
The Pop Ups are happening on the date shown in the above poster and our opening hours are 11am to 4pm Mondays to Saturdays.
If you can't make it we are also running a Festive Prize Draw.
