We hope to return to our normal opening hours from 18th July but this may change at short notice.

Updated 10th May 2022

Our shop is open to the public still.

We are happy to wear masks if that makes you feel easier.

We are still following Scottish Government guidelines.

Update 5th January 2021

Our shop is open to the public and we are following Scottish Government guidelines. This means that only 1 group of customers are allowed in the shop at one time. Masks must be worn unless you are exempt for health reasons.

Update 15th December 2021

IMPORTANT POSTING AND OPENING HOURS UPDATE

After yesterday’s announcement by the Scottish First Minister we are updating our Christmas Opening Hours and our posting dates.

Our shop will close to the public from Saturday 18th December. This means that our last day we will let customers into the shop is this Friday 17th December. You must wear a mask unless you can’t for health reasons and we will only be allowing one group of customers in at a time.

The Weft Blown team and our families are vulnerable to COVID and we want to have a chance to see them this Christmas which is why we will be closing to the public early. This is the easiest way for us to ensure social distancing.

We will be posting online orders up to and including Wednesday 23rd December.

The last date for UK orders for a hopeful Christmas delivery is Monday 21st December.

For orders from outside the UK our last date for accepting orders for hopeful Christmas delivery is Thursday 16th December.

We will do what we can to get orders out to customers but once it’s in the postal system it is out-with our control.

We will be fully closed - no online orders sent out, not answering emails, social media messages, phone calls or any other type of message - from 24th December until 4th January. We will fully reopen on 5th January following whatever COVID restrictions are in place and will answer any messages from then on.

All orders placed between 24th December and 4th January will be posted in chronological order from 5th January 2022.

We hope you understand our reasons for being cautious and we will do what we can to keep you weaving, spinning and crafting.

Update 15th June 2021

For the rest of June we are open on a reduced number of days as follows.

We will be open on:
Wednesday 16th
Saturday 19th
Monday 21st
Thursday 24th
Friday 25th
Saturday 26th
Closed all other days.

Normal opening hours to resume from 28th June

Update 25th April 2021

From Monday 26th April 2021 our shop and showroom will be open to the public Mondays to Saturdays 11am to 4pm.

Customers are asked to wear masks, unless they are exempt, and to sanitise their hands when entering the shop.

Update 13th January 2021

Unfortunately we are no longer able to offer a "collect from shop" service for residents of North Ayrshire. From Saturday 16th January this will be mandated by Scottish Government regulations but in the interests of public health we have decided to comply with this change in advance. Online orders are being processed as normal but delivery may be slower than under normal circumstances. Please see our delivery page for more info.

Update Monday 21st December

Our West Kilbride shop will be closed from Thursday 24th December 2020 until 18th January 2021 inclusive due to the Scottish Governments Tier 4 restrictions for Mainland Scotland.

Orders placed from 12pm on 23rd December 2020 will be shipped from 6th January 2021. Orders will be shipped in chronological order.

From 6th January we will offer a free delivery service to residents of West Kilbride and also a Collect from shop service for residents of North Ayrshire to collect items from our shop. For more details on this please email sales@weftblown.com

The entire Weft Blown team are on holiday from 24th December 2020 until 6th January 2021. All emails, phone calls, social media messages will be responded to when we return on 6th January 2021. All of our suppliers are also on holiday during this time too and we can only deal with queries when we return. If you see us posting on social media or liking social media posts during this time this does not mean we are at work and we will not be responding to any messages in relation to orders if they are posted as a comment on a post.

The date we can re-open to the public is subject to Scottish Government guidelines and can be changed at short notice.

Update Wednesday 18th November

Our West Kilbride shop is open to the public following Scottish Government Guidelines that can be found at https://www.gov.scot/coronavirus-covid-19/

We are in North Ayrshire Council Area and will be following the Scottish Government Tier Guidelines. We are currently in Tier 3.

We do ask our customers to follow these guidelines too and only travel to our shop when it is permitted to do so depending on the location where you live.

When visiting our shop we ask that you wear a face mask (unless you can't due to health reasons) and use hand sanitiser before browsing our products.

Our new shop layout allows for 2 groups of customers at a time as long as they are following the 2m social distancing rules.

We prefer payment by card but we are accepting cash payments too.

We ask that our customers follow these guidelines to keep our staff and our community safe.

Update 16th July

Our West Kilbride shop will now reopen from Thursday 23rd July 2020 with restrictions set as below in 19 June Update.

Update 19 June 2020

We will be reopening our West Kilbride shop to the public from Thursday 16th July.

We will only be open on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays which is a change to our usual opening hours.

Due to Social Distancing Guidance in Scotland only 1 customer or customer group will be allowed into the shop at one time. You will be able to queue outside the shop but please do keep to a 2m distance.

All customers must use hand sanitiser that is provided on entering the shop.

The shop will be set up in a way that you will not be able to browse as freely as normal. Due to our small floor space we will be happy to bring items to you to browse.

We are unable to offer our demo service of wheels and looms so you will not be able to try them out, but you will be able to see the demo equipment we have in the shop.

Payment by card is preferred and we can take contactless payments up to £45 in value.

We are looking into a click and collect service from our shop and we still offer local free delivery to West Kilbride.

These new opening conditions are in line with Scottish Government Guidance and may change over time at short notice.

Ange will be working in the shop on weekdays, and our part-time staff Mia and Tina will be in on Saturdays. If you are wanting to visit to ask about specific equipment we recommend coming along on Thursdays or Fridays to speak to Ange.

We look forward to seeing you back in our shop again.

Update 20 May 2020

We are now shipping to all European countries. Items will be sent by either Royal Mail International Tracked and Signed or DHL. Please allow extra time for deliveries as everything is taking longer here and you will have tracking for your items.

For our current UK delivery terms please check here.

Update 01 May 2020

We have donated 4% of our sales* for the duration of April to be split equally between the NHS Charities Together Covid-19 Appeal and the International Red Cross/Red Crescent Covid-19 appeal to help our UK healthcare workers and communities globally who are affected by this disease. Thanks to the amazing support from our customers in total this has raised £584 (£292 to each charity). This will go towards helping the UK healthcare workers dealing with the impacts of coronavirus every day and also to support the health systems in other countries around the world. Thanks again for helping us raise this money!

(*1% for floor looms orders)

Weft Blown coronavirus charity donations total April 2020

Update 24 April 2020

We are now shipping to Ireland but do be aware there may be delays in delivery.

Update 22 April 2002

We are now shipping orders out to UK customers.

Postal services may still be delayed so do allow a week to 10 days for your order to arrive once you've received your order shipment email.

Ashford UK and Louët are now shipping orders out to us again, but there may still be slight delays in us receiving stock from them.

Schacht Spindle are shipping out orders to us but their factory is still closed to production.

Our West Kilbride shop is still closed to the public.

We are still donating to charities as stated in our 16 April 2020 Update.

Update 16 April 2020

We have taken the decision to re-open our online delivery service for UK deliveries only, starting from Wednesday 22nd April 2020.

All orders received prior to this will be posted starting from this date and we will resume our normal online service from then. We will resume global shipping when we can at a later date.

Our West Kilbride shop will still remain closed to the public until further notice.

We are following guidelines on health and safety at work and can ensure that social distancing will be followed as Ange will be the only member of staff processing orders.

We use Royal Mail’s Click and Drop service as well as DHL and Parcelforce courier pick-ups so we can send our mail with minimal contact to ourselves and the community.

The Ashford and Schacht Spindle factories are currently still closed and Louët are still restricting orders being shipped out from their factory. As a result we will be unable to give delivery date estimates on out of stock items or floor loom deliveries.

We are still happy to take orders for floor looms and we do have plenty of items in stock and our stock levels are up to date on our website. Where items are on pre-order with suppliers it shown on the product page. As always, if you need help with your order then do get in touch.

We are acutely aware of the impact that Covid-19 is having on individuals, health care workers, and communities both here in the UK and across the world. As a result of this we have decided to donate 4% of our sales* until the end of April to be split equally between the NHS Charities Together Covid-19 Appeal and the International Red Cross/Red Crescent Covid-19 appeal to help our UK healthcare workers and communities globally who are affected by this disease.

*1% for floor looms.

Update 02 April 2020

Our main suppliers are now all closed or have suspended shipping new stock until further notice. So once we are able to resume posting orders there may be a longer than usual delay in receiving new stock from suppliers. With suppliers closed it also means that we cannot drop ship orders directly to customers.
