Autumn Sunset Scarf Weaving Pattern by Weft Blown

Inspired by the Autumn Sunset over the Isle of Arran as seen on a walk along the beach with her dog, Ange has designed this scarf as a great project to play with stripes on your rigid heddle loom.

This product is for the digital download of the pattern only.

You can also buy a kit which includes a print and digital copy of the pattern as well as the yarn to weave it.

To weave this pattern you will need a Rigid Heddle Loom at least 10" in width that has a 12 dpi or 12.5 dpi reed.

 

 

Warp Yarn:
Eden Cottage Yarns Milburn 4 Ply in:
1 x 50g Catmint
1 x 50g Althaea
1 x 50g Crocosmia
1 x 50g Charcoal

Weft Yarn:
If doing stripes use what’s left of warp yarn.
If doing single colour for weft then you will need 1 x ball of the chosen warp colour

Loom: Rigid Heddle Loom 10" or wider

Reed:12 dpi or 12.5 dpi Rigid Heddle Reed

Weaving width in Reed: 25cm/10"

Finished Size: 22cm/9" wide by 2m/6'7" long excluding fringes
