This is the brown flexible plastic part that acts as the connecting joint from the treadle to the footman that drives the wheel. The connectors are available as a standard type for most Louët wheels (including the S10, S17, S80 and other older wheels). The S90 Julia and S95/S96 Victoria wheels require a slightly different version of the connector.
If you are unsure of which version of the connector will fit your wheel then please do get in touch before ordering so we can make sure you get the correct one. Spare screws only included with S10/S17/S80/S51 connectors.
