Handwoven by Weft Blown
The high level Cirrus clouds in the evening sky are the inspiration for this cowl handwoven using a mix of woollen yarns.
Clouds occur at various heights in the sky and Cirrus clouds sit at the upper level of them all. This can mean that they catch the light at the beginning or the end of the day and can create soft pink shapes against the blue evening sky.
These colours and texture are conveyed in this cowl using a mix of yarns. The clouds are a handspun yarn using hand-dyed fibre from The Queen of Purls and a merino wool from Ripples Crafts, and they sky is a british wool from Blacker Yarns.
Handwoven in West Kilbride, Craft Town Scotland.
